Implants can be used to replace one or more teeth. The implant body is like a prosthetic tooth root that is placed in the jaw. This is then restored with an abutment and an implant crown to restore the missing tooth. Implants cannot get decay, though the gum tissue around the implant and surrounding teeth will still require daily flossing and brushing.
